AUGUST 2024

BEGINNING OF LEAGUE SEASON

August - the month that signals the beginning of the bowling league season. By this time of the year most centers have completed various summer projects. A fresh coat of paint or some newly installed equipment will make a big impression on customers who may have been away for a few months. Below are a few additional items to consider before welcoming in the new league season.

  • Making sure that behind-the-scenes improvements are made before the center is filled with bowlers can have a huge impact on the customer experience. The first couple weeks of August are most likely the last chance to complete major maintenance on pinsetting equipment and lane conditioning machines.

  • New pins should go into the machines a few weeks before the leagues start for the winter season. This will allow them to break in for better scoring and will give maintenance personnel a chance to make any adjustments needed to the pinsetting equipment.

  • Any changes to the lane conditions should be made no later than the first part of August. Changing conditioners and patterns can take some time to fine tune. You can visit Kegel’s online pattern library to view over 800 patterns: https://patternlibrary.kegel.net/

  • August is also a great time to restock your inventory of parts for your pinsetting equipment. Kegel Pinsetter Parts are stocked by most distributors, and you can replenish your diminished stock after a long summer of rebuilding You can visit our website to learn more about all available parts: https://www.kegel.net/pinsetterparts

  • The bowling season will be upon us before you know it. Prepare for the busy months ahead now. Make August a priority month to make certain your center is ready.

On behalf of everyone at Kegel we wish you all a successful 2024 winter season and we Thank You for your continued support.
